TOPIC: THE SPELL OF VISIONLESSNESS AND AIMLESSNESS

MONDAY 27TH AUGUST,"2018  

SCRIPTURE": And the Lord answered me,"and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie": though it tarry,"wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2":2-3.  

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A man without vision is at ease because he has no sense of urgency; and a man at ease is under a curse.   Our God is a God of vision and purpose; He created the heaven and the earth by the power of vision and purpose. There is a purpose for every creature He made on the earth; there is a purpose for man (Genesis 1:1,"28). There is a purpose for your life.   However, satan’s utmost desire is to make man not to become what God created him to be. One of his strategies of achieving this is to cast the spell of visionlessness or lack of vision on man.   Visionlessness is a situation where one does not know what to do with one’s life; a visionless person does not know in which direction to pour the energy of his life. I would like you to take note of the following":
i) A life of no vision is a life of no future Visionlessness equals futureless-ness; having no vision equals having no future. God told Abraham that as far as Abraham’s eyes could see,"God would give unto him (Genesis 13":14); so,"to see nothing is to get nothing. Your future is connected to your vision.  
ii) The lack of vision equals the lack of a sense of urgency When you see someone without vision, he has no sense of urgency. He is not in a hurry about anything; he may sit to watch television for hours aimlessly. A man without vision is at ease because he has no sense of urgency; and a man at ease is under a curse (Amos 6":1).   Beloved,"my counsel is, avoid the spell of visionless and aimless existence by all means.  
Remember this": A man without vision is at ease because he has no sense of urgency; and a man at ease is under a curse.   ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Avoid the spell of visionless-ness and aimlessness in life.
2. Ask God to show you why you are alive. Discover the reason for your existence and doggedly pursue it.

TOPIC: THE SPIRIT OF INFERIORITY  

THURSDAY 16TH AUGUST,"2018   SCRIPTURE":  And there we saw the giants,"the sons of Anak, which come of the giants": and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers,"and so we were in their sight. Number 13":33  
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When your mind is changed,"everything is changed.   The spirit of inferiority imposes inferiority complex or mentality upon people. It is the state of feeling less important, valuable or worthy than others. The spirit of inferiority makes people feel lower in status, appearance, rank or capability. It makes people feel helpless, hopeless, worthless and miserable.   The spirit of inferiority places a terrible limitation on life and destiny; it is the spirit that makes you think that you can never make it in life. This kind of mentality fuels captivity, adversity and calamity.  
Now, take note of the following":

i) Mind-set Determines outcome Your mind-set is the engine room or manufacturing plant of your destiny. So,"if failure fills your heart, failure will be manufactured for you. For instance, people easily commit the sin they have been thinking about (Proverbs 4":23).

  ii) Mind-set Determines action You behave the way you believe. You can only move about with audacity if you have an audacious mentality. You apologise to everybody because you have an apologetic mentality (Habakkuk 2:2).   

iii) Mind-set is magnetic What you meditate on determines what you magnetise. The kind of situation,"people and circumstance that come your way is a product of what occupies your mind. You cannot change your life until you change your mind, and when your mind is changed, everything else is changed (Ephesians 3":20).  

iii) Mind-set either facilitates or frustrates divine intervention God answers your thinking (Ephesians 3:20). Those who are always negative,"pessimistic, doubtful, fearful and timid will never see God at work.

  iv) How you see yourself determines how the enemy sees you and handles you Your evaluation of yourself is how the enemy values you (Numbers 13":33).   My counsel is,"see yourself the way God sees you.   Remember this": When your mind is changed,"everything else is changed.  

ASSIGNMENTS": 1. Make up your mind to study God’s Word daily in order to understand what God says about you. 2. Reset your mind to believe what God says about you from His Word.

  PRAYER: O LORD,"I reject every inferiority mentality; I receive grace to believe what You have said about me, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THE THERAPY FOR REBELLION

SCRIPTURE: God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land Psalms 68:6.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If satan wants to destroy your destiny, he will send a rebellious friend your way.

The Scriptures make it clear that rebellion and disregard for spiritual authority destroy destiny. Lot, Absalom and Samson were practical examples of people who disregarded authorities and were ruined. They disregarded the authorities over their lives and they were tragically cut off from life in their primes, except for Lot whose life ended in shame.

In order not to end like them, what do we do? What is the therapy for the lifestyle of rebellion and disregard for authority?

1. Resist the spirit of rebellion
I made up my mind that I will never grow to an extent in any realm where I will not have the need for an authority over my life. Every single year, words are spoken over me by my spiritual father. Refuse the spirit of rebellion.

2. Decide to remain under authority
Decide to have a listening ear for the instructions of your spiritual authority. People who refuse to listen to spiritual authority usually end up grounded in life and destiny.

3. Avoid the company of the rebellious
Avoid the company of people who sit in church to criticize the church, preachers and their preaching’s.

Sometime ago, a young man who submits to me in ministry came to confess. He got connected to some people who disregard spiritual authority and they talked him out of submission to parental cover. As a result, things stopped working for him, so, he came back to confess and be prayed for.

If satan wants to destroy your destiny, he will send a rebellious friend your way; if he wants to ruin your future, he will send people around you who are not afraid to talk against higher authorities.

My counsel is, resist anything that will disconnect you from the higher authority over your life.

Remember this: If Satan wants to destroy your destiny, he will send a rebellious friend your way.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Fight the spirit of rebellion.
2. Avoid the company of the rebellious.
3. Decide to remain under spiritual authority.

PRAYER: O Lord, I receive grace to be permanently under spiritual coverage. I reject every spirit of rebellion in my life, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

Nigerian Churches Making Impact With Technology.

In Nigeria today Churches has taken advantage of the Positive impact Technology. According to Wikipedia, When a church has more than 10,000 people who gather together, the term giga-church is used.   At this point, I think it’s safe to say that of all the sectors in Nigeria public and private, the Nigeria mega churches are one of the most advanced and most influential. Some of these churches have population more than some countries. The churches are not only dominating in Nigeria but also making global impact as well and there’s no way all that influenced can be achieved without the use of technology. According to Wikipedia’s List of the largest evangelical churches, the Nigerian church occupies a dominant position in the world and is one of the most advanced organization in Nigeria when it comes to the use of technology and that’s the secret of their success. In fact, the Nigerian mega churches is the only sector in Nigeria that can comfortably compete with their counterparts in advanced countries such as United States, Canada and Europe, our banking sector cannot compete, our military cannot, our industries cannot, our schools, etc. This is because they embraced the use of technology with open arms and it paid off and in this posts I will write on some of the ways technology have made our churches some of the biggest in the world.

1. INTERNET:
Before the internet evolved to the way it is today Nigerian churches already have websites which they’ve been using for preaching and doing all other things. Back then, no social media, it’s just static websites. Today, churches like the redeemed christian church of God and many more have built online churches where you can stream live church programs via the internet.

2. Social media:
In the early days of social media, Nigerian churches/pastors were among the first to take advantage of the platform to share their messages and videos. Social media is the fastest way to spread the gospel. Today Facebook has over 1.5 billion active users, Twitter and other social media have been greatly use to reach countries they don’t have physical presence. Some Nigerian churches have built their own social media platforms and submitted it to Google playstore for people to download. Nigerian pastors have flooded their videos on YouTube and people can watch their programs from any part of the world. Any church that’s not on social media in 2018, I don’t know how to describe.

3 .SATELLITE TV.
Before the reign of social media Nigeria churches have been investing heavily on TV technology. I remember pastor Chris Oyakhilome sharing a story with us, (the congregation) on how he celebrate his birthday in the early 90’s and the church gave him money to buy a car, instead he used it to buy a very expensive camera. That camera was how he started his television broadcasts which later expanded mightily. Today he has 7 satellite TV networks including LoveWorld TV, LoveWorld SAT, LoveWorld Plus, LoveWorld UK, LoveWorld Nigeria, LoveWorld India and LoveWorld USA with worldwide coverage running 247. Other churches have followed suit for example Emmanuel TV of Synagogue and so on.

4. Electronic payment:
This technology really have helped Nigerian churches a lot. They’re able to get donations from all over to world to finance the gospel. Most mega churches today have ATM machines, POS, mobile Apps, etc right inside the church premises so receiving funds is never a problem.
